Toto: the Edge Devil V8 build
The story of bringing a long-stalled Edge Devil kit back from France, building it around an Audi V8, and getting it on the road.

The project
Toto is the third Edge Devil I have built. The kit had spent years in France, where its previous owner had started the build. After recovering the kit and donor cars in 2019, I continued the work in the UK, building around an Audi V8 and drawing on what I had learned from the earlier cars.
The work covered a full mechanical rebuild, suspension and brakes, wiring and engine management, bodywork, tuning, and the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) process. The car passed its IVA retest in December 2020 and was registered in January 2021.
Milestones
- 2019: Recovered the kit and donor cars from France.
- 2020: Rebuilt and assembled the car, then completed the rolling-road session and IVA.
- 2021: Registered Toto and began road testing and ongoing refinements.
